The trough or extension of a low pressure area located west of Palawan will bring rains over parts of Luzon, while the easterlies will prevail in the rest of the country on Monday, PAGASA said. MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Batangas, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA's trough. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides in some areas.
At 3 a.m., the LPA was estimated to be located at 460 km west of Coron, Palawan.
PAGASA said the LPA "has an UNLIKELY chance of development into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours." Metro Manila and the rest of the country on the other hand may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.
Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country. Sunrise was at 5:32 a.m.
