" This accolade was presented at IPF 2025, North America's largest conference on marine wind and renewable energy, held in Chesapeake, Virginia. The award honors companies that have significantly contributed to expanding and strengthening the supply chain within the U.S.
offshore wind industry. LS Cable & System was selected for its outstanding global expertise in submarine cables, the bolstering of its American production infrastructure, and the expansion of strategic collaborations. The award ceremony took place during the gala event on the opening night of the conference.
On the same day, Goo Bon-kyu, CEO of LS Cable, took the stage as a keynote speaker at the IPF 2025 opening ceremony, marking a first for a Korean. During his address, he emphasized the necessity of strategic investments for the sustained growth of the offshore wind sector and underscored the importance of energy transition in today's era. CEO Goo remarked, "Offshore wind should not be approached solely from a short-term profitability perspective.
LS Cable views this market as a sustainable, long-term industry that will thrive for 30, even 50 years, and now is the time for proactive investment."
