The summons comes as part of a wider inquiry into fraudulent real estate dealings, and Mahesh Babu’s involvement is now under scrutiny. The actor’s promotion of Sai Surya projects reportedly led many people to invest, not knowing about the alleged fraud. While he may not have been directly involved, the ED is looking into the money he was paid by the developers.

The actor is scheduled to appear before the ED on April 27. As per a report in TOI, the investigation involves two Hyderabad real estate companies, Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group, accused of cheating buyers. The actor allegedly received Rs 5.

9 crore for endorsing the projects of Sai Surya Developers, with Rs 3.4 crore paid by cheque and Rs 2.5 crore in cash.

The ED believes the cash payment may be linked to money laundered through fraudulent activities. The investigation began after Telangana police filed FIRs against key figures, including Narendra Surana, director of Bhagyanagar Properties Ltd., and K Sathish Chandra Gupta, the owner of Sai Surya Developers.
