PETALING JAYA: Harimau Malaya will return to their fortress for their next 2027 Asian Cup third-round qualifiers game. The national team confirmed they will take on Vietnam at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium at 9pm Tuesday (June 10). In the previous qualifying game, Malaysia beat Nepal 2-0 at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
The last time Malaysia played at the National Stadium was against Singapore in the AFF Cup on Dec 20 2024, where they were held 0-0. National team chief executive officer Rob Friend was delighted with the news, saying the game is more than just a qualifier. "We're excited to welcome Vietnam to Bukit Jalil for what promises to be a thrilling and emotional encounter," said the Canadian.
"This is more than just a qualifier. It's a moment for Malaysians to unite behind Harimau Malaya and show the strength of our national spirit. "We are building something special, so we are excited to see our fans at Bukit Jalil and make it a night to remember.
