Man docked for allegedly assaulting his neighbour

A 29 year-old man, Mustapha Alasan, was on Tuesday docked in a Sharia court in Kano State for allegedly assaulting his neighbour.The police charged Alasan, who lives in Darmanawa Quarters in Kano with assault and causing bodily harm.The Prosecution Counsel, Zahraddeen Abubakar told the court that the complainant, Abubakar Gazali, reported the matter at the Filin Hockey Police Station in Kano, on April 8.

Abubakar alleged that at about 4:50 p.m, the defendant lost his temper during an argument with the complainant“The defendant used an iron object to hit the complainant on his back and waist as a result he sustained serious injuries,” the prosecutor said.The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 165 and 158 of the Penal Code.
