Chennai: A Chetpet man lost 17 lakh to online fraudsters on Sunday. Police said Sujith, 35, received a WhatsApp message saying he could earn high returns with a small investment. The message told him to click on a link to start the process.
Sujith clicked on the link, only to discover soon after that 17 lakh had been debited from his bank account.
