Qatar tribune Tribune News Network Doha The Ministry of Labour (MoL), through its Department of Qualifying and Skills Development and in partnership with Meeza, held an innovative training course at Qatar University for Qatari nationals and children of Qatari women seeking employment in the private sector. Focusing on cutting-edge topics in artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, the course aims to bridge the skills gap in Qatar’s rapidly evolving technology landscape. The event was attended by Shaikha Abdulrahman Al Badi, assistant undersecretary for National Manpower Affairs in the Private Sector, whose presence underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening private sector employment opportunities through targeted skill development.

The training is a key component of the Ministry’s broader strategy to nurture a pool of highly competent national talents. This initiative supports the goals of the Private Sector Nationalisation Law and the Third National Development Strategy and aligns with the long-term vision of Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to build a robust and productive workforce. Attendees benefited from comprehensive sessions that emphasised the importance of keeping abreast of emerging technologies such as AI, As the workshop drew to a close, participants were encouraged to capitalise on the training and employment opportunities presented, positioning themselves for active contributions to the nation’s sustainable development agenda.
