Vadodara: A motorcyclist lost his life and his pillion rider was seriously injured when a speeding car struck their bike on National Highway 48 early Sunday morning. The collision occurred as the duo attempted to cross the highway on the city's outskirts. This is the second fatal incident on the highway in less than a week.
Just six days ago, two motorcyclists were hit by an unidentified vehicle near the Waghodia bypass. The injured pillion rider was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. With a rise in such incidents, the stretch of NH-48 on the city's outskirts is emerging as a high-risk zone, prompting renewed concerns over road safety on one of India's busiest highways.
