On the Pioneer ballot, which honors individuals whose careers began over 60 years ago, nominees include Jake Elder, Ray Hendrick, Banjo Matthews, Larry Phillips, and Bob Welborn. Elder, known as "Suitcase Jake," was a renowned crew chief with three Cup Series championships and 44 total wins. Hendrick, nicknamed "Mr.
