NCRPO: 150 cops deployed for Nora Aunor’s state funeral

Aunor’s life and legacy will be honored in a state necrological service at the Metropolitan Theater in Ermita, Manila on Tuesday morning. Afterward, she will be brought to the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig for a hero’s burial. “Ang MPD (Manila Police District) is mayroon silang itinalaga na nasa 100 na personnel para i-secure yung magiging service para kay Miss Nora Aunor, bukod pa sa ide-deploy ng Southern Police District na nasa almost 50,” NCRPO Spokesperson Maj.



Hazel Asilo said in a Radyo 630 interview on Tuesday. (The Manila Police District has assigned 100 personnel to secure the service for Miss Nora Aunor, on top of the almost 50 personnel the Southern Police District will deploy.) “Nakalatag ang ating mga police personnel para i-ensure na lahat ng dadalo para sa huling tribute natin kay Miss Nora Aunor is magiging peaceful at mas maging komportable para sa lahat ng dadalo,” Asilo added.

Aunor died of acute respiratory failure on April 16, according to her son, Ian de Leon.
