8-ingredient bedtime drink From detox water to bitter juices, we all keep trying different methods and recipes for weight loss. What we often forget is that consistency, discipline, and control are the key ingredients that, when combined with detox water or juices, can do wonders. Nutritionist Richa Gangani recently shared her personal experience on Instagram about a powerful homemade bedtime drink that helped her lose 7 kilograms in just 21 days, which she combined with discipline and consistency.

As per her post, it's an 8-ingredient bedtime drink that she swears by and it helped target bloating, weight loss, and irregular periods. Richa mentioned that she drank this mixture every night before bed and saw significant results within three weeks. How to make the detox drink? To make this drink, you need cardamom, fennel seeds, asafoetida, cucumber, lemon slices, ginger juice, and chia seeds.

Roast cardamom, fennel seeds, and hing for about 10 minutes on low heat. Grind this mixture into a coarse powder. In a bottle, add this powder, chopped cucumber, lemon slices, ginger juice, and pre-soaked chia seeds.

Fill the bottle with water, shake well, and your bedtime drink is ready. Cardamom Cardamom is known for its digestive benefits. It helps boost metabolism by stimulating digestive enzymes, relieves gas, indigestion, and bloating.

It's also a mild diuretic, which can help reduce water retention and promote detoxification. Its powerful antioxidants combat inflammation and regulate blood sugar levels, preventing sudden hunger spikes. Additionally, the spice may help curb cravings and promote satiety, making it easier to stick to a calorie-conscious diet.

Fennel seeds It is rich in fiber, helps curb appetite, keeps you full for longer, and reduces unnecessary snacking. Fennel seeds also act as a natural diuretic, flushing out toxins and excess water from the body, which helps reduce bloating. Their digestive properties boost metabolism and improve gut health, supporting better nutrient absorption and fat breakdown.

Asafoetida Also known as hing, it is known for its strong aroma and digestive properties. It helps stimulate metabolism and reduces bloating by easing gas and improving gut health. Additionally, its anti-inflammatory properties can help regulate hormones that influence fat storage.

Cucumber It is a low-calorie food that is made up of 95% water and keeps you hydrated and promotes a feeling of fullness, helping to curb unnecessary snacking. It is rich in fiber and low in carbs, which aids healthy digestion and gently detoxifies the body. Its mild diuretic effect also helps reduce water retention and bloating.

Lemon Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, lemon helps boost metabolism, aids digestion, and supports detoxification. It helps reduce bloating, and promote hydration as well. Its low calorie content and ability to enhance flavor without added sugars also make lemon a great addition to weight loss-friendly meals and drinks.

Ginger juice Ginger juice is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds like gingerol that help improve gut health and reduce bloating. Drinking ginger juice regularly can also help regulate blood sugar levels, which is essential for managing cravings and maintaining energy throughout the day. Chia seeds Chia seeds are nutrient-dense superfood that can support weight loss.

Rich in fiber, they expand in the stomach when soaked in water, helping you feel full for longer and reducing overall calorie intake. These tiny seeds are also packed with protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants, which aid in boosting metabolism and maintaining energy levels.
