AUGUSTA — The No. 11 USC Aiken golf team stands in second place after day two of the PBC Championship, which is being played at Forest Hills Golf Club. Head coach Michael Carlisle's team was led by Nick Goellner's three-under par, 141.
He is tied for fourth. Goellner shot two-under par, 70, on Saturday. Mitchell McNeill soared four spots and stands in a tie for sixth place with teammate Erik Olin.
They are tied at two-under par, 142. McNeill opened the tournament at even-par, 72, before firing a two-under par, 70, Saturday. Olin finished the day at two-under par, 142.
He recorded a one-over par, 73, for the second round of competition. Oscar Abrahamsson moved up four spots and is tied for 15th. He shot even-par, 72, on Saturday and stands at two-over par, 146, through 36 holes of competition.
Karl Frisk is tied for 27th at five-over par, 149. After opening with a 76 on Friday, he tallied a one-over par, 73, for the second round of action. USC Beaufort leads the field at 15-under par, 561.
The Pacers are second at five-under par, 571. Georgia Southwestern is third at one-under par, 575. Flagler is fourth at even-par, 576.
North Georgia is fifth (+2, 578) while Columbus State (+10, 586), Lander (+19, 595) and Georgia College (+27, 603) complete the eight-team field..
