The tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives, has left everyone in a state of shock. People everywhere are heartbroken and grieving. Popular names from the showbiz industry - Bollywood, TV and South film industry - have also spoken out and strongly condemned the horrific violence.
South Indian cinema icons Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal too took to social media to share their thoughts and posted heartfelt messages to offer condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. Kamal Haasan took to X (formerly called Twitter) to express his grief regarding the tragic terror attack and wish speedy recovery to those who were injured. . — Kamal Haasan (@ikamalhaasan) April 22, 2025 Mohanlal too took to his X handle to condemn the recent attack and mentioned that it is "devastating to witness such cruelty". His post read, "My heart goes out to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.
It is devastating to witness such cruelty. No cause can ever justify the taking of innocent lives." The Thudaram star further referred to the loss of bereaved families as "sorrow" that is "beyond words".
"To the grieving families, your sorrow is beyond words. Please know that you are not alone. The entire nation stands with you in mourning.
Let us hold on to each other a little tighter and never let go of the hope that peace will prevail even in the face of darkness," he added. Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only condemned the terror attack on civilians, but also vowed to not spare the terrorists. "Those behind this heinous act will not be spared.
