Park Bo Gum and Lee Jun Young collaborated on My Name Is Gabriel, where they met only twice due to having no overlapping scenes. K-drama star Park Bo Gum recently opened up about an incident where he was “hurt" by co-star Lee Jun Young. Known for his role as Yang Gwan Sik in When Life Gives You Tangerines, Park Bo Gum is currently hosting the late-night show The Seasons.
In the latest episode, Lee Jun Young of Melo Movie fame and actress Jung Eun Ji joined him to promote their upcoming rom-com series, Pump Up the Healthy Love. During the show, the trio discussed their early days as K-pop idols, shared past shooting experiences, and revealed behind-the-scenes moments. According to TenAsia, one of the conversations took a more emotional turn as Park Bo Gum shared his experience of being hurt by Lee Jun Young.
During the show, while the actors began sharing candid memories from their past, Park Bo Gum jokingly recalled an incident when he got ghosted by co-star Lee Jun Young. The actor recalled that while shooting “My Name Is Gabriel," he did not share any overlapping scenes with Lee Jun Young but met him twice – during script reading and at the wrap party. “I remember exchanging numbers.
I sent a message saying, ‘It was nice meeting you,’ but never got a reply," Park Bo Gum shared while jokingly recalling he was ‘hurt’ after the incident. As per TenAsia reports, the actor then mentioned that he thought maybe he had the wrong number, but yesterday the number was right and that he got ghosted by Lee Jun Young. Actress Jung Eun Ji also joined in the playful conversation, stating that Lee Jun Young often leaves her on read too.
The actor was visibly flustered by the revelation and then tried to defend his act by saying that he had over 999 unseen text messages and rarely checked his DM. Lee Jun Young and Jung Eun Ji’s latest drama, “Pump Up the Healthy Love" is a romantic-comedy that follows the story of Do Hyun Joong, played by Lee Jun Young, who is a passionate gym owner. Being a strict trainer, Do Hyun Joong is determined to transform the lives of overly anxious members who come to the gym.
On the other hand, Jung Eun Ji’s character Lee Mi Ran comes to the gym following a recent breakup. The show is set to premiere on April 30, 2025..
