Priscilla Pointer dead: Dallas actress dies aged 100 as fans pay tribute

Dallas actress Priscilla Pointer has died at the age of 100, her son has confirmed. The US died "peacefully in her sleep" on April 28 at an assisted living facility in Ridgefield, Connecticut. In a heartfelt Instagram post, her family said, "Priscilla Pointer, acclaimed stage television and film actress, and mother of David, Katie, and Amy Irving, died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 100, hopefully to run off with her 2 adoring husbands and her many dogs.

She most definitely will be missed." Her grandson Gabriel Barreto also paid tribute to her on Instagram and shared various throwback photos alongside the a caption which read: "My grandmother, legend of stage and screen, Priscilla Pointer passed away peacefully in her sleep yesterday at 100 years old. "She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a true gift to the craft of acting.



She was vibrant and witty, had cheekbones that could cut glass, and loved dogs. She will be missed by so many," he added. Pointer passed away just weeks before another milestone birthday, as she was due to turn 101 on May 18.
