Lahore - Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is committed to the health welfare of his force and their families. Continuing this commitment, IG Punjab has released an additional Rs.

2.475 million for the medical treatment of police employees and their families. The spokesperson of Punjab Police, while providing details, said that Constable Abu Bakar Siddique was granted Rs.



500,000 for medical treatment. Constable Muhammad Yasir was provided with Rs. 300,000 for major surgery.

Retired Sub-Inspector Ghulam Hussain and Constable Ismatullah Khan were given Rs. 250,000 each for medical expenses. Langari Shahid Hussain was granted Rs.

200,000 for the cancer treatment of his wife. Retired Inspector Muhammad Aslam, Constables Ghulam Sarwar and Saqib Jahangir were each provided Rs. 100,000 for medical treatment.

The widow of deceased Sub-Inspector Abdul Qayyum, and Constables Umar Rafiq and Khursheed Ahmad were each given Rs. 100,000 for medical treatment. The widow of deceased Constable Muhammad Banaras and Junior Patrolling Officer Yasir Rafiq were also granted Rs.

100,000 each for medical treatment. ASI Rafiqat Ali, Constable Khalid Mehmood, and sweeper Parkash were collectively provided Rs. 175,000 for treatment.

IG Punjab approved the disbursement of funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. Dr. Usman Anwar said that, under MOUs with various institutions, employees are also being provided with the best medical treatment facilities.
