Qatar tribune QNA Tunis The Qatari delegation achieved remarkable success at the 16th edition of the Arab Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Championship, held in Tunisia from April 10 to 14, showcasing the impressive progress made by Qatari teams across various competitions. The Qatar Technical School for Girls secured first place in the Robot Arm competition, while Al Wakra Secondary School for Boys took first place in the Ball Collecting competition (Beginner category). Ibin Seena Secondary School for Boys won second place in the same competition’s Advanced category.
Omar Bin Al Khattab Secondary School for Boys team clinched first place in the Line Tracing competition (Advanced category), and Muath Bin Jabal Primary School achieved first place in the Line Tracing competition (Beginner category). Meanwhile, the Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys won the Best Programming Award in the Sumo competition (Advanced category). Commenting on Qatar’s participation, Fatima Al Mohannadi — a member of the administrative board, the State of Qatar’s representative in the Arab Robotics and AI Association’s robotics competitions, and a member of the championship’s supreme organising committee — highlighted that the Robot Arm competition was included for the first time in this edition.
She noted that this addition stemmed from a proposal submitted by the Qatar Scientific Club, which was subsequently approved by the Arab Robotics and AI Association.
