One such innovation is ‘Tap to Donate’—Qatar’s first fundraising device of its kind. This user-friendly solution allows individuals to contribute to vital humanitarian efforts with a simple tap of their bank cards, ensuring a fast, secure, and seamless donation process.
With a sleek design and an intuitive screen interface, the ‘Tap to Donate’ devices are strategically located in high-footfall areas such as shopping malls, hospitals, pharmacies, cafés, fuel stations, and sports clubs—bringing convenience to donors in their everyday settings. In addition, QC has introduced Near Field Communication (NFC) technology as part of its efforts to enhance donation accessibility. Smart tags embedded with NFC chips are placed on devices across restaurants, cafés, health centres, and mosques.
These allow users to instantly access donation links via their smartphones by simply bringing their device close to the tag. Furthermore, the organisation’s upgraded mobile app streamlines the donation experience. Users can browse a variety of charitable projects, select their preferred payment method, and contribute to causes with ease.
