The release date for the next PS Plus day-one free game has been confirmed, and it's not too far away for subscribers.

It’s been an eventful period of time for PS Plus subscribers. Unfortunately, quite a bit of it has been marred in bad news such as the reveal of more price increases , along with the confirmation of over 20 games leaving in May 2025 . While fans are disappointed by the upcoming departures, some good news is that the release date for the next PS Plus free day-one game has been confirmed and it’s not too far away.

The release date for this game is officially June 17th, and it will be available day-one on PS Plus as part of the Extra tier. For those not in the know, the game is from Remedy, the studio behind the popular Max Payne and Alan Wake series, as well as Control.



In fact, Control is the most relevant as FBC Firebreak is a multiplayer game set within the world of Control. If you do not have PS Plus or you simply wish to buy the game, it will cost £32.99/$39.
