RIL shares in focus on acquiring 10% additional stake in Nauyaan Shipyard for Rs 51.72 cr

RIL shares: Reliance Industries has posted a 17.58% drop over the past year. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the stock is down 0.19%. Over the last six months, it has declined by 11.07%, while the three-month and one-month performances show declines of 1.86% and 2.25%, respectively.

Shares of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) will be in focus on Tuesday, April 15, after the company announced that its step-down wholly owned subsidiary, Nauyaan Tradings Private Limited (NTPL), has completed the acquisition of an additional 10% equity stake in Nauyaan Shipyard Private Limited (NSPL).According to the exchange filing, the acquisition was made for a total consideration of Rs 51.72 crore from Welspun Corp Limited.

“Nauyaan Tradings Private Limited (NTPL), a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of the Company has informed the Company that it has today completed the acquisition of further 10% equity stake in Nauyaan Shipyard Private Limited (NSPL), a step-down subsidiary of the Company for an aggregate consideration of Rs. 51.72 crore from Welspun Corp Limited,” the company said in an exchange filing.



NSPL is also a step-down subsidiary of Reliance Industries.
