Hojlund has struggled with his form this season and the United striker has only scored three times in 28 Premier League matches in the 2024-25 campaign. The Denmark international has played in 45 matches in all competitions and Hojlund has netted eight times and picked up four assists for United. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Manchester United (@manchesterunited)Speaking on Sky Sports, Jamie O’Hara was deeply critical of what Hojlund did during one moment against Wolves when Kobbie Mainoo was in the best position to shoot.
“Hojlund makes a massive mess of it,” he said, as per Football365.“He’s driving through. Mainoo has made a great run.
He’s in acres of space. It’s not even a hard pass and Mainoo would have a free shot on goal.“But Hojlund takes 20 minutes to get it out of his feet and Wolves get back to make a tackle.
“That sums up his Man United career: not good enough, nowhere near good enough. Hojlund does nothing up front on his own.”READ MORE: Man Utd talent’s eye-catching stat vs Wolves shows intensity that Ruben Amorim’s system demands, he’s setting high standard Jamie O’Hara speaks out on Ruben Amorim’s tactical system for Man Utd after the Premier League loss to WolvesO’Hara added that the Red Devils have “massive problems” and Amorim’s tactical system for United lacks the important players that are needed to make it tick.
“It was a poor performance from them today,” he said.“I’m not convinced about Man United; I’m not convinced at all. I don’t know if this formation works, I really don’t.
“They’ve got massive problems. He hasn’t got the players for the system. In the summer, they need to decide whether to bring in loads of new players for Ruben Amorim or get a new manager.
“United’s league form is unacceptable and if they don’t win the Europa League, it’s a disaster of a season.”United’s next outing will be at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday, with the Red Devils facing Bournemouth for their Premier League clash at 2pm UK time..
