Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani on Monday firmly rejected claims that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had made any compromises in its stance, urging the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to dispel such misconceptions. Speaking to the media, Ghani made it clear that the PPP would not back down on the controversial canal project, stating, “We will not be convinced on the canal issue.” He emphasized that the party’s position was not driven by political expediency but by the mandate given to them by the people of Sindh.

“The idea that the PPP is negotiating due to political compulsion is completely false. We are speaking out because it is our responsibility,” he said. Criticizing certain members of the PML-N for their attitude, Ghani remarked, “Some people in the PML-N lack a positive mindset — we don’t know whose interests they are serving.

” He also voiced strong concerns over the distribution of resources, stating that Sindh was not receiving its rightful share of river water. Additionally, he reiterated that gas produced in Sindh was being supplied to other provinces, while the province’s own needs were being overlooked. Trump says it’s ‘good to see’ the world takes US tariffs seriously “The people of Sindh have the primary right to the gas produced in their province.

We have protested over this issue as well, and any misconception about our silence should be cleared,” Ghani asserted. Tags: ppp saeed ghani.
