Peshawar - Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations Barrister Saif welcomed the federal government’s initiation of dialogue with Afghanistan, calling it a positive step taken after repeated appeals from the provincial government. However, he criticized the exclusion of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from the process, terming it a reflection of a lack of seriousness. He emphasized that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has remained the most affected province in the fight against terrorism and must be included in the peace talks along with other stakeholders.
Barrister Saif said the provincial government had submitted Terms of Reference (TORs) to the federal government three months ago, which proposed the involvement of tribal elders and key stakeholders. “Our proposed TORs can prove instrumental for the dialogue process,” he noted.
