A 90s themed daytime night club with the best name ever is heading to Newcastle with a strict age policy

If you're old enough to remember watching Saved by the Bell every morning during the school holidays and still know the theme tune off my heart, an event is bound for Newcastle that should be right up your alley. And, sorry under 30s, you might have your youth, but you're not getting in! Over the last year, the popularity of daytime parties has sky rocketed, with Vicky McClure's Day Fever the event that really lit the touch paper on a trend that is growing stronger and stronger each passing month. Day Fever had its first event in Newcastle at the end of May 2024 and has sold out every one since, including Christmas special Sleigh Fever.

Over the last 12 months there has also been success for events like The 30+ Club and Bed by 10pm, as venues like NX and Digital have welcomed slightly more 'mature' revellers. There has even been an Elderly Emo party for the over 30s and its people into their third decade and older who are also being catered for by Saved by the 90s., which is coming to Digital on Saturday, May 31.

Although not strictly 'daytime' the fact that Saved By the 90s starts at 6 and is due to end by 10pm, should mean anyone keen to go but still wanting to be in bed by a sensible hour should be able to do just that. Tickets for the event are priced from £9 and available online now from sites like Dice and Eventbrite. An online teaser for the event reads: 'We are going to Spice Up Your Life and take you back in time to a very special era that will make you feel Larger Than Life! We will be Dancing In The Moonlight to the greatest 90's hits (plus all those guilty pleasures you used to listen to in your mums car)' Hints at what music will provide the soundtrack on May 31 mention acts li8ke Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, TLC, Whitney Houston and Shaggy, along with the likes of S Club 7, No Doubt and Ace of Base.

And there will be two rooms to enjoy, with the main room taking on the Saved by the 90s theme and the second being Teen Spirit. The age policy is 'strictly 30+' and fancy dress is actively encouraged. And, if your birthday is between May 24 and June 7 you can get free entry.
