Friday night was a big night for Mississippi cornerback Trey Amos. While Amos expected to hear his name called in Thursday's first round, he knew someone would call him during Friday's second round of the 2025 NFL draft. That someone was the Washington Commanders.
Washington used the No. 61 overall pick on the Ole Miss cornerback, who wasn't expecting the Commanders to be the team that picked him. “I didn't expect the Commanders to take me, but you know, I had a great relationship with the Commanders throughout the whole process, Senior Bowl, the combine, you know, talking to 'em," Amos said.
"So, it was just a great feeling.”Being such a special night, Amos was home with Louisiana and they celebrated in style. Check out Amos as he celebrates with family and friends, courtesy of Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post.
