com A total of 23 school districts saw 100% of their students test proficient on Algebra I Regents exams during the 2023-2024 school year, according to state data. Two school districts in Central New York were among them: Lyncourt in Onondaga County and Weedsport in Cayuga County. Both districts had low numbers of students take the exams: six in Weedsport and nine in Lyncourt.
You can see full results of Algebra I Regents exams from last year in the two tables below. There are two tables because two different versions of the exam were given during the 2023-2024 year, according to the state Education Department , which released the latest Regents results in November. One version of the exam was given under a previous set of learning standards.
Those results are in the chart labeled “Common Core.” The newer exam’s results are in the table labeled “Next Generation.” Going forward, all students will take the “Next Generation” exam, according to the Education Department.
