SK Hynix is conducting its second recruitment drive for full-time production staff this year. This initiative is interpreted as a move to expand production capacity in anticipation of the rising demand for AI semiconductors. According to industry sources, SK Hynix has posted a job announcement on its recruitment website for "2025 SK Hynix New Maintenance and Operator" positions.
The application deadline is set for the 24th of this month. In the full-time roles, maintenance staff will be responsible for the upkeep of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and the operation of production lines, while operators will conduct quality tests and inspect for defects. Earlier this year, SK Hynix also held regular recruitment in March and a fast-track recruitment in February for full-time positions.
The current aggressive hiring strategy by SK Hynix is attributed to the need for more workforce as the company undertakes modifications to its existing factories for the setup of Through-Silicon Via (TSV) lines and the production of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) at its Icheon and Cheongju campuses.
