Students in two vastly different Capital Region BOCES programs worked together recently to boost their collective knowledge and skills. Early Childhood Education students and their counterparts in the Manufacturing and Machining Technology program came together this week in a project that boosted the communication knowledge of the aspiring machinists and the teaching knowledge of the aspiring educators. The Manufacturing students created a lesson on how to create an object and operate their various machines.

They then presented their lesson to the Early Childhood students who completed an education “rubric” for each of the students, providing feedback on the students’ content and delivery of the lesson. (Photo provided).
