THREE KEY FACTS Super Rugby Pacific has been highly entertaining in 2025, with unexpected upsets and standout performances. The Chiefs and Crusaders have shown exceptional form, with players like Emoni Narawa and Will Jordan excelling. The Blues face challenges after a frustrating loss to the Reds , needing a strong comeback against the Western Force .

One of the best Eleven rounds into 2025’s Super Rugby Pacific competition , there’s no question this has been as entertaining a start as any since Super Rugby began in 1996 . It’s my 29th year reporting on Super contests, and I wouldn’t have expected to still be looking forward to every weekend’s games. Forget the grouches whose gloomy outlook is possibly shaped by the many genuine issues our rugby faces off the field, from serious injury concerns, to the battles facing clubs, to how a country as small as New Zealand can compete against the big money overseas.
