Taylor Swift Sets The Standard For Bill Belichick's COO Girlfriend

An active NFL coaching cycle saw many impactful moves and departures across the league this offseason. But perhaps none were more shocking than former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick ditching the professional ranks and opt for a debut in college football. Belichick signed on to be the head coach at the University of North Carolina.

He has gone to work on the recruiting trail hoping to rebuild the program and put together a winning team. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, has maneuvered behind the scenes with some clever branding work on behalf of her partner. In correspondences obtained by The Athletic, Hudson was referred to as the Chief Operating Officer of "Belichick Productions.

Among them were some obvious nods to Belichick including the "Belichick Way" and "Chapel Bill."But Hudson and her team got creative with several others that traditionally belong to Patriots' owner Robert Kraft. Phrases like "Do Your Job" and "Ignore the Noise" were supplemented with "(Bill's Version).

"This strategy was coined by Taylor Swift when she rerecorded her old music following the purchase of her discography by Scooter Braun. Swift's brand has expanded beyond that era of her career and she now holds claim to being one of the biggest pop stars in the world. That goes without mention of her fame (or infamy) in the realm of professional sports given her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

From Belichick's perspective, it is certainly plausible he is coming from a similar place that Swift was with her discography. Kraft may own the rights to those trademarks, but these phrases came to life because of Belichick. The Patriots had not won much before his arrival.

When he retired from the league, he left them with seven Super Bowls and arguably the greatest dynasty in NFL history.
