The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 teaser ends with Conrad at Belly’s door, and the song switches to Red, suggesting that the drama is far from over. Prime Video has finally released the official teaser for The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3, based on Jenny Han’s popular book trilogy. At the end of season 2, Conrad, played by Christopher Briney, was seen grappling with his mother’s illness, while Belly (Lola Tung) ended up with his brother, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).
This led many to believe the love triangle had been resolved. However, the new teaser shows Belly and Jeremiah enjoying their romance, set to Taylor Swift’s Daylight. The teaser takes a dramatic turn when it ends with Conrad standing at Belly’s door, as the song shifts to Red, hinting that the drama is far from over.
As per the official synopsis, “It’s the end of her junior year of college, and Belly’s looking forward to another summer in Cousins with her soulmate, Jeremiah. Her future seems set, until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life. Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart.
Summer will never be the same...
" Speaking about season 3 with Entertainment Weekly, The Summer I Turned Pretty author and co-showrunner Jenny Han said, “It’s very sweet and there are so many amazing scenes for Belly and Jeremiah this season, so many. Lola and Gavin have really great chemistry and got into such a good rhythm with each other, because we do have a little bit of a time jump going into season 3, so they needed to have that kind of bond, and it was really seamless. It’ll be joyful for people to witness it.
" The author also shared that Conrad has been away for some time and is now making his return. With the time jump, everyone has undergone some changes. The story will explore how Conrad perceives the changes in Belly, Jeremiah, and Steven, and how they, in turn, see him differently.
It’s as if they’re all getting to know each other again, and viewers will witness how distance and time have impacted their relationships. The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 will start streaming from July 16 on Prime Video..
