According to The Boston Globe ’s 2024 analysis of the American Community Survey data , those with Asian ancestry make up more than 500,000 people, or 7%, of Massachusetts. The state’s Indian-identifying population is the second largest Asian American ethnic group, after Chinese except Taiwanese, with over 130,000 people in Massachusetts, according to APIA Vote.
