No. 2 Texas A&M (40-8, 13-6 SEC) dropped their second SEC series of the season after losing the first two games to No. 9 Arkansas (36-9, 12-8 SEC) at Davis Diamond.
The Aggies haven't been playing their best ball in SEC play over the last three games. After getting run-ruled in game three against unranked Missouri last weekend. They followed that up by committing four errors, seven strikeouts, and the most egregious, leaving 17 runners on base through the first two games.
Coach Trisha Ford said it best in the press conference following the Game 2 loss."Very disappointing day again here at Davis Diamond we're just not executing at a high rate. I really don't have any excuses" "We were just inconsistent like these last two days, honestly.
We just haven't played well we haven't played well enough to win, to be honest."There are only four SEC games left, and it doesn't get any easier from this point when they travel to Tennessee to face another top ten team to finish the regular season. However, for now, they just need to get back on track and have a solid showing in Game 3, win or lose, to get some type of momentum headed into the final week.
Texas A&M will close out the series against Arkansas on April 27 at 12 p.m. CT at Davis Diamond.
