The 1% Club stunned viewers as 16 contestants were wiped out in one brutal round thanks to a complicated dice question that left the brightest players baffled.

The 1% Club delivered a brutal night of brainteasers as a staggering number of players were wiped out by a complicated dice question that had even viewers scratching their heads. The smash-hit ITV quiz show, hosted by comedian Lee Mack, is known for throwing in fiendishly difficult questions designed to trip up even the cleverest contestants. And on the latest episode, 16 hopefuls were sent packing when they stumbled on a tricky maths puzzle at the 30% question stage.

The question, which looked deceptively simple at first, read: "Using only the faces of the dice you can see and each of them just once, how many different ways can you add them together to make a total of ten?" An image flashed up on screen showing faces of a dice ranging from one to five, but with the number six notably missing. Players had just 30 seconds to figure out the different combinations they could create to reach a total of 10. Before Lee Mack revealed the correct answer, he confirmed the extent of the damage, telling viewers that "16 players had been wiped out after getting the question incorrect.

" Going on to break down the logic behind the correct response, Lee explained to the remaining players and viewers at home: "In order to get the number 10, there were only three answers from the options available." The solution involved three different combinations: using the 5, 4 and 1; using the 5, 3 and 2; and using the 4, 3, 2 and 1 together to make 10. Contestants who failed to spot these possible groupings were immediately knocked out of the competition, dramatically thinning the field.

The mass elimination left tensions running high as the remaining contestants battled their way toward the final round. And while many crumbled under the pressure, one contestant managed to keep their cool all the way to the end. Cameron, who proved he had nerves of steel, made it to the show’s toughest question—the famous 1% question—and walked away with a jaw-dropping £96,000 jackpot.

The final 1% question challenged Cameron to solve a puzzle involving a four-digit pin number—no easy feat with so much money on the line. Lee asked: 'I keep forgetting my four-digit pin number. I know each digit is higher than the previous digit but I need this diagram to remember it.

What is my four-digit pin number?' The question was followed by a sequence of letters. Lee revealed the answer to be 1489, with the numbers written out in the diagram. He was the only player to answer correctly and bagged the huge prize pot.

But unlike his two fellow finalists, who both buckled and gave incorrect answers, Cameron held his nerve and answered correctly, scooping the life-changing prize..
