Thug has officially returned as he gears up to drop his upcoming album. Check out our favorite lines from his new single.

Young Thug is officially back. Today, he dropped a new song and video, “Money on Money,” featuring one of his favorite collaborators in fellow Atlanta native Future . The two superstars channeled Watch the Throne ‘s classic “Otis” music video where Jay-Z and Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) dismantled a very expensive car and welded it back together to make something you would see in a Mad Max film.

The pair teamed up earlier this year on Lil Baby ‘s single “ Dum, Dumb, and Dumber ,” and the three rappers have floated the idea of doing a full-length project together. If you remember, Future and Thug did their own Watch the Throne: Atlanta essentially in 2017 with their joint album Super Slimey . Produced by Wheezy, the “Money on Money” beat is meant to be played in a car —preferably one with a trunk that rattles — and both Thugger and Pluto spit some witty lines.

.. with a couple of them seemingly aimed at Gunna (or at least open to interpretation).

Their rift allegedly stems from the Drip or Drown rapper’s controversial decision to take a plea deal in 2022, as the lengthy YSL RICO case was getting started after he spent around eight months behind bars. And while Thug and his lawyers wanted to be granted permission for him and Gunna to work together, he sent out (and deleted) a tweet saying for his artist and label mate to “stop acting like we friends on the Internet,” even as his dad stood by Gunna after he was released, making this whole ordeal very complicated. Now, with his highly anticipated album UY Scuti on the way, here are some of the best lines from the project’s banger of a lead single.

Who said it? Future You get the nice 21 Savage callout, while also getting a reference about one of the rarest cars on the planet when he mentions German custom tuning company BRABUS. Fun fact: apparently, Curren$y has one of the only Japanese BRABUS Mercedes B6 in the country. So, Big Fewtch must be talking about some other sh—t, because I saw the car on Zoom with my own eyes.

Who said it? Young Thug You gotta show some initiative or just leave it alone. That’s a fair and simple rule to live by. Who said it? Future There them eaters go again.

Why are they always following ballers around? I gotta get to the bottom of that. Who said it? Young Thug I don’t condone drinking lean while driving, but this line is hard. Who among us wouldn’t like to live the life of a rap superstar for a day? Who said it? Young Thug Imagine being so rich, you can’t remember the model of the expensive car you decided to drive today.

I’m glad he’s back home pulling stunts where he belongs. Who said it? Young Thug Thugger threw in a line that only the old heads can appreciate. I gotta salute him for that.

Ask your parents or resident OG about what a beeper is, youngin’. Who said it? Young Thug Jefferey basically said, “ We don’t lease, we buy the whole car, as you should .” Can he live? Who said it? Young Thug Saying that you’re talking to someone and them denying it is something I never want to experience, especially if I ever become famous.

Tough break for whoever he’s referring to. Who said it? Future Another line that can mean anything and can be referencing anyone. Again, open to interpretation.

Who said it? Young Thug When it comes to rap music, a line like this can be ambiguous and up for interpretation. Is this aimed at Gunna? One can’t really know for sure. Who said it? Future Another signature Pluto line about the ultimate get back.

Some may view this line as misogynistic, while others may feel like it’s a funny and witty line. Again, art is subjective, folks. Who said it? Future This is such a signature Future line that it can be simultaneously referencing Shaggy and his smash hit “ It Wasn’t Me ,” and Shaggy from Scooby-Doo .

I guess that’s what they call a double entendre? Who said it? Future She’s for the streets! Who said it? Young Thug This can apply to a number of places, people, or situations. Who said it? Young Thug Thugger is a true lover boy and a family man. What a guy.
