With prices touching Rs 95,780 per 10 grams on Wednesday morning, the city has topped the charts, reflecting a surge in festive demand as residents rush to mark the auspicious day with traditional purchases of the yellow metal.According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), gold prices have risen across the country in response to the day’s high demand, with Chennai leading the pack.
