Earlier this week the BBC’s Celebrity Traitors line-up was revealed three years after the original show hit the airwaves in the UK. It’s all getting very real for the star-studded cast who have started to make the journey to Ardoss Castle in the heart of Scotland to join host Claudia Winkleman for a jam-packed series filled with mischief and mayhem. The flagship channel released 19 big names set to take on the beloved BBC show including several popular talk show hosts, singers, and Olympians.
The confirmed cast includes Alan Carr, Clare Balding, Jonathan Ross, Paloma Faith, Stephen Fry, Nick Mohammed, Tom Daley, Charlotte Church, and Kate Garraway. Also joining them in the castle is Cat Burns, Celia Imrie, Tameka Empson, Joe Marler, David Olusoga, Joe Wilkinson, Mark Bonnar, Lucy Beaumont, Niko Omilana, and Ruth Codd. It comes after fans shared their disappointment that comedian Bob Mortimer was not going to be taking part in the BBC show despite heavy speculation.
After the line-up was announced, fans flooded to X - formerly known as Twitter - to share their disappointment online. One user fumed: "No Bob Mortimer? Gutted" as another agreed: "WHERE IS BOB MORTIMER? WHAT'S THE POINT?" A third echoed: "I was promised Bob Mortimet" while a third fumed: "I needed Bob Mortimer in this!!" The glamorous cast will have to have their wits about them as they attempt to weed out the Traitors from the Faithfuls in the upcoming series. With secret missions, savage twists, and backstabbing galore, the castle’s never seen a line-up quite like this before.
On Tuesday (April 22), a handful of the stars were spotted touching down at Inverness Airport as filming kicked off for the show. In new pictures, singer Charlotte Church, presenter Stephen Fry, Olympian Tom Daley, talk show host Jonathan Ross and Alan Carr, and historian David Olusoga were spotted making their way to set..
