50, and are available at the door. As Kerrier Choir are Helston based, it is fitting that Helston Cottage Hospital benefit, and the concert is in aid of this great local cause. This is the first of many concerts being held around Cornwall to celebrate 80 years, and the first time in the two choirs' history that they have sung in concert together.
Janette Eathorne is Kerrier Male Choir MD, with Elizabeth Tremayne as accompanist. Stephen Lawry is the MD of Mousehole Male Voice Choir, with Annette Turton as accompanist. The choirs will sing joint items, together totalling around 90 voices, as well as individually.
The programme will include traditional, modern, sacred, and Cornish songs, so bring your Cornish flags and enjoy Cornish refreshments after the concert. Come along, be entertained and help Helston Hospital at the same time. There will also be a raffle with great prizes.
Kerrier celebrations continue next month with a visit from a choir from the east, Launceston MVC, so keep watching the adverts for a year of celebrating. Kerrier Male Choir practise weekly at Wendron School 7.00 pm, and all gents are invited, music, uniform etc supplied.
