Van Ho work may go to statewide vote

LAKE PLACID — The state Legislature is considering a constitutional amendment that would allow New York to purchase at least 2,500 acres of land for the Forest Preserve, if approved by New York voters. The purchase would offset up to 323 acres of Forest Preserve land at the Olympic Sports Complex at Mount Van Hoevenberg that either has already been or could be further developed.
