PELHAM, N.H. — Two people suffered serious injuries in separate crashes less than two hours apart on Thursday night, including one rollover captured on a police dash cam that left a 20-year-old Litchfield, New Hampshire man with life-threatening injuries.
According to the Pelham Police Department, the first crash happened just after 6:20 p.m. and involved a head-on collision near 65 Dutton Road.
Police said a 2024 Ford Transit van, driven by 38-year-old Joseph Covey, of Pelham, collided with a 2019 Toyota Camry, operated by 52-year-old Erica Hewitt, also of Pelham, after the van crossed the double yellow line.Police said that Hewitt suffered serious injuries, though they were described as not life-threatening. She was transported to a local hospital.
Covey sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention.Authorities are still investigating the wreck.At approximately 8:15 p.
m. Sgt. Ryan Donovan was returning from a hospital follow-up related to the crash on Dutton Street when he saw a 2014 Chevy Impala driving erratically on Keyes Hill Road.
Police said as Donovan attempted to stop the driver near Raymond Park, the vehicle lost control, rolled over “several times,” and came to a rest in the front yard of 27 Keyes Hill Road.Donovan’s dashboard camera recorded the crash in its entirety.https://www.

Police said the heavily damaged car was smoking, and Halley was drifting in and out of consciousness.Officers and a good Samaritan rescued the dog, while members of the Pelham Fire Department extricated Halley, who was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.Halley’s dog was taken to a local animal hospital for treatment.
