WALES winger Josh Adams has given Cardiff a huge boost by signing a new contract. Last week the Arms Park club went into administration and was then taken over by the Welsh Rugby Union, who are now hunting investors. Adams was due to be out of contract this summer but has given the Blue and Blacks a lift by agreeing fresh terms.

“I have a young family and we are all very settled here in Wales, and are enjoying being at home,” said the speedster. “In terms of the club we have made some good improvements from last season and you can see us getting better and developing. “I really enjoy the environment here and I’m very happy at the club.

The Arms Park is the best ground in Wales, and especially so when it is sold out. You simply cannot beat it. “I’m looking forward to playing my part in helping this group progress and cannot wait to be back out on the pitch at the Arms Park.

” Adams joined Cardiff in 2019 after starring with Worcester in the English Premiership. The prolific try scorer has crossed for 30 tries in 48 appearances while his exploits have earned 61 caps and he toured South Africa with the Lions in 2021. Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt said: “He is a really important figure within our environment.

He’s very influential off the pitch and on it is the type of player you want next to you. “On the pitch, his record speaks for itself. His strike rate shows what a deadly finisher he is, and he has excellent attitude towards the basics of the game.

” “Josh and his family are very settled here, he remains highly motivated and I have no doubt that he will continue to be an influential player at the Arms Park.”.
