The written-off Premier League campaign didn’t make it any easier to digest another home loss for Manchester United as Alejandro Garnacho left Wes Brown amazed. Man Utd’s 0-1 loss to Wolves followed a familiar pattern for those who have watched the team this season. A side comes to Old Trafford, absorbs pressure in full knowledge that United will struggle to put away their chances, then take one of theirs to walk away with the victory.
In a sea of wastefulness, a small contributor was also Alejandro Garnacho, and what he did against Wolves left MUTV pundit Wes Brown amazed. Hojlund struggled again vs Wolves and Ruben Amorim looked like a man who had seen enough after the game.
However, his partner-in-crime in wasting chances during most games, Alejandro Garnacho, had one of his better games as he created chances. On a good day, the Argentine could have easily finished with a hat-trick of assists, something which is a testament to Garnacho improving his weakest skill. However, what surprised Brown even more was the fact that Garnacho remained on the pitch for the full 90 minutes despite what happened just two days ago.
Brown said on MUTV: “He saw a lot of the ball, he likes to take people on, that’s the kind of player he is. He has still got the stamina to play the full game here after the Lyon match. “I’m sure he’s had a chat with the manager, chat with the physio.
I’m sure he’s feeling fine. He’s the kind of player where the more he plays, the better he gets.”Garnacho’s value keeps risingIt feels like an era ago when Garnacho was clubbed alongside Marcus Rashford in being dropped from the squad for the Manchester derby.
Since then, Garnacho has become an example for any osctracised player in how to put the head down, work hard, and force yourself back into the manager’s plans. Despite rumours over Garnacho’s future, the player continues to deliver in every game. His game remains a work in progress which is understandable for a 20-year-old attacker but his effort can’t be faulted anymore.
Against Wolves as well, he picked up numerous knocks as the opposition always tries to kick him down but he dusted himeslf off and went on another run minutes later. He’s found a role in Amorim’s formation as well which allows him to function as a quasi-winger so that’s sorted too.Barring a humongous offer in the range of £80 million or so, Garnacho is no longer someone who should be put on sale.
