Joanna Donnelly shocked RTÉ viewers on Monday night when she revealed she would no longer be presenting the weather forecast on TV.The meteorologist regularly reported the forecast after the news, with her final forecast taking place after the 9pm news broadcast on Easter Monday. Joanna had been presenting the weather on RTÉ for around 10 years, having landed the gig via Met Éireann who she is with nearly 30 years.

Pic: RTÉ On Easter Monday, viewers were stunned when Joanna signed off from the broadcast, revealing it would be her ‘final’ one.She later took to social media to confirm her departure had ‘nothing to do with my work product’ and she ‘always gave the very best’ she could.

The Irish Mirror reports that the national forecaster said they didn’t comment on individual employees and ‘appreciate the dedication and commitment of all staff in the continued delivery of weather and climate services.’In the meantime, Joanna and her husband Harm are currently in The Netherlands, where Harm is originally from, after heading away to spend time with his parents.
