He said, “It is just another acting problem to solve, and I liked the way it was presented in the script. I really liked the surprise of it, and that it is not foretold, it just jumps out at you. And it was fun to shoot! Of the deaths I have suffered in front of the camera, this was one of the easiest and most pleasant.

”Further, Preston mentioned that they had initially planned to keep Milton Crawford on the show longer, as everyone liked Emerson. However, the ongoing story’s direction made his character’s demise essential to move forward.She said, “But I think for the arc of the season and for what Elsbeth has been working on in her journey, it really made sense to reach the conclusion that they did.
