When Wiltshire residents go to the polls, they'll be voting for a Wiltshire Councillor to represent them. There are 98 seats up for grabs – more than any local authority election this time around. All of the seats are being contested, with three parties - Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, and Reform - fielding a candidate in every 'electoral division'.
Some residents will also have the chance to vote Labour (contesting 45 seats), Green (44), or for an Independent (16). Everyone who is eligible to vote will have received a polling card. As well as personal details, the document gives the name of the ward in which they are voting, and the location of their designated polling station.
Aside from some minor tweaks, most houses remain in the same ward as they were in 2022, and no new wards have been created. The bigger changes have been in Calne, when new homes previously in Calne Rural have become part of Calne Central, and The Ham estate, near Westbury, which was previously split between Westbury North and Ethandune. The entire estate is now part of Ethandune.
