Qatar tribune QNA Doha The Basic Aviation Security Course, organised by the Airport Security Department, concluded on Thursday at Al Wajba Hall in the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) building. The course was held from April 20 to 24, with the participation of 15 officers from the Ministries of Interior of the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the State of Kuwait. The course aimed at enhancing Gulf cooperation, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and develop skills in aviation security.
The programme covered fundamental concepts of aviation security, including a review of the Airport Security Department’s experience in managing major sporting events, among other topics. Participants also took part in a field visit to Hamad International Airport to explore the latest equipment and technologies used in airport security. Director of the Airport Security Department, Colonel Khamis Mohammed Al Muraikhi, attended the closing ceremony.
