KANDHKOT - Unidentified assailants attacked a house in Kandhkot district kashmore after the resident refused to pay extortion money. Doctor Suresh Anand a social activist , the owner of house filed a case with the police stating that some days back he received phone calls from extortionists, asking him to pay millions while he did not hand over the protection money. He told that he refused to pay extortion earlier after attackers fired at his residence, partially destroying the structure.
Concerned Station House Officer confirmed the incident. He had been informed by the complainant about the threats but the police could not provide him protection, “We are already short on resources, we cannot give security to every individual.” Doctor said he would continue to stand firm against such threats, however, the police did not take any measures “Police can arrest and trace mobile phones of the culprits.

It is noteworthy to add here that the locals of district Kashmore are going through a phase of panic due to the worsen law and order. However newspapers and various channels are again and again reporting about crime stories such as murders, dacoties, robberies, kidnappings burglaries and thefts but sorrowfully the district police have not taken serious measures especially maintaining law and order.
Various social activists, businesmen and local people of the district have expressed their grave concerns about worst law and order. Speaking on the issue of increasing crime rates they told that for the last few months it has been seen that heinous crimes were surging in kashmore and the law and order situation of district is going from bad to worse. Since the safety and security of has almost collapsed, while present the crime rate in Kashmore is the highest in the entire country.
On other hands it is the constitutional and prime responsibility of the government especially sindh government to protect the lives and property of the general public in this country.
