PM commits to final week Press Club address, Dutton likely to skip

Anthony Albanese will stick with the tradition of speaking at the club in the campaign’s last week; Peter Dutton will probably focus on marginal seats instead.

Login Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will stick with the tradition of addressing the National Press Club in the final week of the election campaign, with a speech scheduled for Tuesday. Opposition Leader Peter Dutton, whose campaign is struggling, has yet to confirm his plans but is not expected to address the Press Club, as it would require him to spend half a day in Canberra rather than focusing on marginal seats.
