SAN DIEGO -- Family is the name of the game for Point Loma softball, with the pointers' roster having 3 sets of sisters."We're all really close together. I think having those three sets of sisters gets the community along better," said Lola Mezzadri.

..bittersweet moment knowing it's my last year," said Nanako Schroth.
The younger ones are not afraid to give their elder sisters constructive criticism, all with love."She knows how to handle me in that situation and I think I can kind of push her more than she can push me," said Leyton Macpherson.Whether related by blood or not, the pointers see the whole team as family.
"When we get on the field, we are one unit. You can see it in the dugout when we cheer and how competitive we are," said Ryoko Schroth.Point Loma is enjoying its first season in Division 2 and is ranked number 1 in their division, with more than 20 home runs.
"I've never been on a team with these many great home run hitters. It's really exciting," said Ella Mezzadri."I've been here seven years and it's clearly the best team we've ever had here," said head coach, Billy Hunyady.
