Vehari admin holds ceremony to honour alumni

Vehari - The District Administration Vehari, under the initiative titled “Madar-e-Ilmi Se Rabta” (Reconnect with Alma Mater), held a grand ceremony to honor alumni who have played a vital role in supporting development work in government schools across the district. The event acknowledged the contributions of former students and aimed to foster a stronger bond between alumni and their former educational institutions. Commissioner Multan Division Aamir Kareem Khan and Deputy Commissioner Vehari Imrana Touqeer were the chief guests on the occasion.

During the ceremony, the alumni shared heartfelt memories of their school days and expressed their commitment to further contributing towards the betterment of their alma maters. Commissioner Aamir Kareem Khan appreciated their efforts, highlighting the importance of public-private partnerships in strengthening the education sector. He officially launched the campaign “Madar-e-Ilmi Se Rabta”, encouraging continued collaboration and community ownership of educational progress.



He also emphasized instilling civic responsibility in students, including awareness about environmental preservation, plantation drives, adherence to traffic laws, and cleanliness. To acknowledge dedicated public officials, Commissioner Aamir Kareem Khan presented honorary shields to DC Vehari Imrana Touqeer, Additional DC Revenue Syed Usman Munir Bukhari, AC Vehari Ghazala Kanwal, AC Burewala Malik Farooq Ahmad, and AC Mailsi Mehr Khalil Ahmad. In return, DC Imrana Touqeer and CEO Education Nasir Aziz presented a commemorative shield to Commissioner Aamir Kareem Khan as a token of appreciation.
